I’ve been MIA for a bit here but I promise it was for a very good reason. I was busy trekking across the USA!! And what an amazing time I had. I tried to get a map to show you the journey we did but it really doesn’t do it any justice. All I know is there was a lot of driving, an epic map misread and some really awesome sights.
The stars are where the 4 of us that met up in Montana were coming from. There was T and me (I know it should say I but it looks funny, sorry Dad) from the West Coast of Canada, *T from Kansas and *S from Arizona and good ol Bob from Wisconsin. We never met Bob or found him, but it really didn’t matter in the end. We’re still searching for him.

On our journey we brought Clarence Higglesworth with us. By the end of the trip he became well known. He has been many places. Lucky gnome.

Do you remember this from last year? Only difference is there is a Clarence in the photo now.

I know, I said never again to getting on a horse. Well I lied. Not only did we ride again, but this time, I actually kindof ran a bit. I know, I’m special.

DETOUR… this year we did a side trip to South Dakota. We’ve always seen Mt Rushmore in photos and on TV but we really wanted to see in in person. WOW. It was the coolest thing ever.

After Mt Rushmore, we needed something just as crazy, so T got us to the buffalo range. Yes. Crazy, Ugly, Furry and HUGE buffalo.

Now as you know all good things must come to an end, but for us we dragged it out as long as possible. On our last day we followed a map to a little old ghost down waaaaaaaaay off the beaten path. Wish the map had told us we’d be 4 wheeling up logging roads that were far to windy and steep to turn around.
Lesson learned. The shortest way to your destination may not always be the smartest.
Here is Clarence in the old general store. I’m telling you, he really got around.

This one, requires no words. Talk amongst yourselves :)

Thank you T, That was the best time in my life.
Until next year…
